Hansi Flick has cast doubt on the future of Jerome Boateng as he admits there are decisions to be made and the hunt for a new defender is on.
Hansi Flick has put Jerome Boateng’s future at Bayern Munich in doubt.
The Bavarian giant’s manager has done little to quell speculation surrounding the German defender’s position at the club.
While he did not say he doesn’t want the player, he did not say he wanted him to stay either.
In fact, he has left the decision up to the player.
Speaking to Kicker, Flick said:
“Jerome has to make the decision about his future because it’s about his career.”
He then went on to confirm that he is in the market for a new defender this January too.
“Therefore an addition at right-back would be helpful.”
“Winter transfers always bring something to a team if they help immediately – and this is difficult to find.”
“I am in exchange with Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Hasan Salihamidzic.”
