Hansi Flick insists the training ground fight between Leon Goretzka and Jerome Boateng is in the past, his team are focused on the next game.

Hansi Flick admits sometimes emotions run high on the training ground. While the incident involving Goretzka and Boateng is done and dusted, he doesn’t want to see his players act in this way again.

In an interview reported by Goal, Flick and his players have put the incident behind them. They are now focused on the next game as they try to climb back to the top of the Bundesliga.

He said:

“There were a lot of emotions in training. We played a small tournament, every team wanted to win.”

“This shows that the attitude of this team is correct. What I didn’t like was the emotionality. “

“I spoke to both of them on the phone in the evening. I am satisfied that it is in the past.”

“I don’t want to see this behavior in the team, and I do not expect such forms of emotion again.”

“What’s important for us is to play well in Mainz on Saturday.”
