We need to talk about the imminent war that is coming between Real Madrid’s Florentino Perez and PSG’s Nasser Al-Khelaifi over two players.

It was just last Monday after Zinedine Zidane was presented as the Real Madrid manager that Florentino Perez revealed a part of his plan, he will finally move forward with his attempt to sign PSG’s two key players.

Los Blancos’ president is quite clear on what he is looking for in order to create the ideal club for the future that should compete for all the trophies, he thinks a little bit different than his manager and it shows during every interview he makes with members of the media.

It’s no secret that Florentino Perez’s obsession is to sign Neymar, but he has most recently added French forward Kylian Mbappe to that wish list that will eventually bring him a lot of trouble with PSG’s Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

The Paris Saint-Germain chairman has repeatedly stated that he won’t let any of both his star players leave the institution but he may not have a choice if things get too tricky for his club, PSG hasn’t been able to deliver on the promise of being competitive enough to win the Champions League and this plays as a huge reason why either of these players might entertain the idea of leaving the club in the near future.

Zidane’s arrival will speed things up.

With Zinedine Zidane’s return to Los Blancos, there is no doubt that the Spanish club will begin preparations for the busy summer that’s coming for them.

The president has already granted ‘Zizou’ full powers to do whatever he wants and bring any players he likes, but Florentino Perez will also try to bring a couple of names that the French manager hasn’t really asked for.

We are obviously talking about the specific case of Neymar, the Brazilian forward who has remained an obsession for Florentino during the better part of two decades.

Despite the obvious low form moment that the player is going through and Al-Khelaifi’s negative response when they suggest anything related to his player’s exit, the Real Madrid president will start doubling down on his attempt to get Neymar as a priority and he will also try to convince Kylian Mbappe to follow his teammate to La Liga.

Florentino seems like he won’t listen to the fans or the manager, Zidane doesn’t fancy bringing Neymar to the club as he would prefer Eden Hazard but Kylian Mbappe is a direct request from the French manager.

This is already a prelude of a very complicated dispute between two presidents, Al-Khelaifi has already made Real Madrid apologize twice for leaks to the press about these matters.

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been placed under investigation for suspected corruption, according to Judge Renaud van Ruymbeke.   Al Khelaifi, 45, has been under investigation...

But what has changed from those apologies until now you ask? Well, the landscape is very different than it was back then as Real Madrid now has a very strong negotiating card in Zinedine Zidane as the manager.

Any player who gets asked to play for Real Madrid from now on would gladly accept, anybody would like to be coached by mythical ‘Zizou’ and they would be crazy to reject him.

This obviously includes both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, whose specific objective is to win the Champions League regardless of the club they represent.

The only obstacle that Real Madrid really has to sign either of these two players was the money, Perez wasn’t too keen on spending too much money on these two players but he has finally realized that a complete makeover for the club is in order and bringing these two stars is the best step that he could possibly take in order to ensure that Real Madrid’s future is secure.

PSG is already well aware of the Spanish club’s intentions, they know that this war is coming and things are going to get nasty from this moment forward between both chairmen because the gloves are off for Florentino Perez.
