Napoli tied with Sassuolo 1-1 thanks to a late goal by Lorenzo Insigne cementing the team’s position in the second place of the table.

Napoli rescued a point from their visit to Sassuolo thanks to a late goal by Lorenzo Insigne in the Italian Lega Serie A.

With the win Napoli continues in the second place of the table with 57 points, thanks 17 victories, six draws and four defeats.

But the team is still way behind Juventus since the Bianconeri has yet to lose in the league as they cruise on top with 75 points.

“For how the match went, a tie is okay,” goalscorer Lorenzo Insigne told Gianluca Di Marzio.

“These ties, however, get a little tight. They always make things difficult for us here, but it’s important that we were good at reacting and bringing a point home.”

“At the end of the match? I went for the result, we always want to win. We tried to win at all costs, but now we focus on Thursday because we need to qualify for the Europa League quarterfinals,” he added.

“I always get criticized and I’m the only one who’s targeted when they don’t score and this hurts me a bit.”

Jorginho would be surprised if Maurizio Sarri left Chelsea

Jorginho doesn't expect Maurizio Sarri to leave Chelsea in the summer amid rumours linking him to Juventus.

“What can I do? I move forward, I work every week to grow and I hope to return to high levels,” he asked.

“We’re playing this league like every year, if we go back to see the columns that journalists write, they pass us off. Certainly, we’re unhappy to lose points on the road but we must not give up because hard work pays off.”

Napoli will now play against Salzburg in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 after winning in the first leg 3-0.

“The return leg against Salzburg? We won 3-0 on the road, but we still aren’t tranquil. Our central defenders will be missing but we have faith in those who will substitute them,” he commented.

“It will be hard and we need to concentrate for all 90 minutes. I know the power and desire of this group. We need to be ready for this important match on Thursday.”
