Andre Santos is a well-known name for any Arsenal fan, even though the player himself had a reputation of falling short of expectations.
However, he now tells a story about his time at Arsenal.
Santos criticized the team’s mentality in the season where the Gunners finished fourth.
“When I’m in a club, I want to lift the title, but I saw that Arsenal didn’t have that ambition,” he said, as quoted by Daily Star.
“They lost and were laughing on the bus already. It looked like they were going to the office. I went there, did the work, and came home.
“I didn’t have that desire to win.”
This story reflects all the criticism of Wenger’s soft regime for years.
Same seems to be happening with Unai Emery, who’s closing in on leaving Arsenal.
