Jose Altafini has joined Fabio Capello in raising his voice against Cristiano Ronaldo.
Cristiano Ronaldo is certainly not enjoying his recent weeks. The Portuguese burst out in anger after he was substituted against AC Milan. Since then, the former Real Madrid man has become a subject of controversy.
Fabio Capello, a few days back, hit at Ronaldo after his dip in form. The Italian despised Ronaldo’s behavior after Sarri took him off.
“I didn’t like this, it wasn’t nice. He must be a champion even when he comes off the pitch.
“The truth is that Cristiano Ronaldo hasn’t dribbled [past] an opponent for three years,” Capello said.
Recently, Jose Altafini also joined the Ronaldo-criticism train. The former Juventus striker agreed with Fabio Capello and acknowledged the number-7’s poor performances.
“The truth is that Cristiano creates many scoring chances,” he said as quoted by Marca.
“He enjoys when the ball is played to him the penalty box. But another reality is that he does not take on players anymore. Capello is right.”
Since Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid in July 2018, only Lionel Messi (44), Robert Lewandowski (38) and Kylian Mbappé (38) have scored more goals than Karim Benzema (30) in Europe’s top 5 leagues.

“He has not dribbled past anyone for years,” Jose Atlafani added.
“He isn’t like Messi, who at the age of 32, dribbles past three or four players and finishes off with a goal. Cristiano stands out more for his power inside the box.”
