Former Portuguese Juventus legend revealed that he thinks Cristiano Ronaldo will increase his level in the following years at the club.
The million dollar question about Cristiano Ronaldo’s new adventure at Juventus looms over everybody’s head, Dimas Teixeira thinks he has the answer.
The former Juventus player who is also Portuguese like Ronaldo, lived the most successful years of his career at the Old Lady.
During his period between 1996 and 1998, Teixeira was part of the squad that reached the two consecutive Champions League finals in 1997 and 1998.
The Italian giants only won one of those matches but they certainly had a massive impact in European football during that period of time.
Dimas is convinced that Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival to Serie A will bring one of the most successful periods in the country’s football history.
The former player explained that players like Cristiano Ronaldo are bound to eventually succeed in Serie A.
The Portuguese player already won the domestic league title on his first season, but everybody expects him to actually win the UEFA Champions League.
Juventus hasn’t won this competition since the era in which Teixeira was part of the squad, something that Dimas expects Ronaldo to change in the upcoming seasons.

Teixeira recently spoke for the ‘TuttoJuve’ local program in Italy, he was questioned about his compatriot and what he expects from Ronaldo in the following years.
Dimas is convinced that the Portuguese forward will actually increase his level of performance compared to the one he showed this season.
“We all know that the first season in Italian football brings many difficulties to any player, but Cristiano Ronaldo will perform at a much higher level in the next few years,” said Teixeira via Diario Sport.
“Cristiano Ronaldo’s main objective is to win every single title every year on the collective level, this will also bring him all the individual accolades.”
“Ronaldo has already been recognized as the Serie A’s best players of the season and he has brought a whole new dimension to Juventus’ infrastructure.”
“His experience acquired this season will help him increase his level of performance in the next five years.”
“Cristiano Ronaldo is not the only one who wants to win the Champions League, every single person at Juventus wants to win the European title in the near future.”

Ronaldo could finish his worst season in the last 10 years.
Even though he already won the Serie A with Juventus and has scored 28 goals in all competitions, Cristiano Ronaldo could actually get his lowest goal-tally of the last decade.
When he arrived at Real Madrid during the summer of 2009, Ronaldo scored only 33 goals and this was actually the lowest number he reached throughout the last 10 years.
With this goal-tally and only a match away from the end of the season, Cristiano Ronaldo could actually finish this first year at Juventus with the worst numbers of his career in recent years.
This doesn’t mean that Ronaldo’s level of performance in declining, it only means that playing football in Italy wasn’t as easy as perhaps everybody expected for CR7.
We can still get the best version of Ronaldo in the following years, he is still one of the best players in football history after all.
Dimas Teixeira is only one of the millions of individuals who expect a lot more from Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus, you can count us among those people.
