Former Madrid midfielder, Arda Turan who is on loan at Istanbul Başakşehir from Barcelona, has denied the reports that suggests he broke pop singer Berkay’s nose as well as taking a gun to the hospital.

Earlier, reports from Turkey emerged that the two were involved in a fight as a result of Arda’s passing comment of admiration towards the singer’s wife.

However, Berkay was also reported to have told his wife to go home so the two men can settle the quarrel that had ensued but the singer sustained a broken nose afterwards.

The 31-year-old midfielder reportedly took a gun to hospital and told Berkay he was unaware the woman was his wife, and asked the singer to kill him.

“I would like to make a statement about the news in the papers,” Arda said on his Instagram story, in quotes translated by Goal.com and carried by Football Espana.

“There was an argument on my day off at the place that I went with my friends, but the reason is not about honour and purity as reported. It is not possible to be that way.”

After punching a linesman in May this year, Arda was banned for 16 matches.
