For Predrag Mijatovic, manager Santiago Solari can take Los Blancos to a fourteenth UEFA Champions League championship.

Predrag Mijatovic scored the goal which helped Real Madrid beat Juventus 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League Final in the 1997-1998 season.

This was the first time Los Blancos won the tournament in 32 years.

And now, the team is looking for its fourteenth title, now with Santiago Solari as head coach.

For Mijatovic, Los Merengues can be led to new glory thanks to Solari’s tactics.

“[Solari] is proving to be a coach who can lead this team,” he said to Radio Marca.

“He has made some difficult decisions and he plays the line-up that he considers to be best.”

“I thought [Gareth] Bale would play at the Camp Nou and I was surprised to see him choose Vinicius [Junior,]” he added.

“Real Madrid are getting better every day.”

Van Persie says Ajax are favorites against Spurs

The Feyenoord footballer believes Ajax has what it takes to win against Tottenham Hotspur and play in the UEFA Champions League Final.

“February has started with a very good match against Barcelona, and another very good performance against Atletico Madrid,” he explained.

“Now comes the Champions League and I really want to watch the game on Wednesday.”

“[Marcelo] is a great player but since he hasn’t had any competition, he’s probably relaxed,” argued the former Madrid forward.

“Right now he’s not having the best of times, but he’s probably going to become the starter again.”

“For now, [Sergio] Reguilon is doing very well; [Marcelo] is recoverable but it depends on him.”

Real Madrid will visit Ajax on Wednesday, to take part in leg one of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 stage.
