Darren Bent feels Harry Kane will perform better than Sergio Aguero if both are on their peak.

Sergio Aguero recently surpassed Thierry Henry’s record of 175 goals and became the highest-scoring foreign player in the Premier League. In Man City’s 6-1 win, the Argentine also recorded his 12th hattrick breaking Alan Shearer’s record.

Sergio Aguero has been one of the most consistent players for Manchester City for almost a decade now. He is also ranked as one of the deadliest goalscorers and the best striker in England.

But former Tottenham striker Darren Bent would beg to differ. Darren Bent insisted that with both being on top form, Harry Kane would perform better than the Man City number-10.

“I think if both are on top form, both at the height of their performances when they are at their best, I would put Kane ahead of him,” Darren Bent told talkSPORT.

“I think statistically he has scored more goals, more important goals.

“There’s a stat that there has only been a few players who have scored more than 20 goals a season more than once and I think Kane has done it three or four times, which is incredible. I think Aguero has only done it once, which is scary considering the amount of goals he’s got.

“For me, if they are both on top then I’m going for Kane.”
