A frantic final few minutes saw PSG score two goals in two minutes to draw 2-2 with Real Madrid.

This game was more about pride.

Earlier results meant that Real was guaranteed a spot in the knock out stages alongside PSG who had already qualified.

Real Madrid, wanted revenge though after the drubbing they took at the Parc des Princes earlier in the competition.

The hosts stormed into a 17th-minute lead, thanks to none other than the man of the moment Karim Benzema.

It was Benzema again who doubled Zinedine Zidane’s side’s lead in the 79th minute, improving his already impressive statistics.

As the game apprached the last ten minutes, it appeared that real madrid had restored some balance in the footballing universe as far as they were concerned.

But PSG had other ideas, as in the 81st minute, French wonderboy, Kylian Mbappe, made the most of the Spanish side defensive mix up.

Madrid was a little shell shocked, and Paris pounced on that frailty.

It was none other than former real player Pablo Sarabia, who got the all-important equalizer.

This sudden change in the scoreline brought the best out of both sides and made for an end to end final seven minutes, plus five of stoppage time.

Varane, Rodrygo, and Modric missed glorious opportunities, while Di maria at the other end shot wide.

In the final minute, Bale hit the woodwork.

Final score: Real Madrid 2 – 2 PSG.
