The Bournemouth footballer believes the impact Steve Clarke has had in the team is immense and he sees a bright future.
The Scotland national team defeated Cyprus 2-1 in yesterday’s EURO 2020 Qualifiers match.
And for Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser the victory was mainly thanks to manager Steve Clarke, who has given the team new life.
“The gaffer here has started with a foundation of being hard to beat, and I agree, we’ve been too easy to beat,” he told the Bournemouth Echo.
“But he’s not one of those managers who just focus on defense.”
“He says ‘right, you six do your stuff’, he’ll run through the gameplan of where we can exploit people,” he explained.
“He’s made an impact on all the players.”
Fraser continued: “I’m not going to lie, I’m an attacker, but in football these days you do have to know how to defend.”
“As long as you work hard for the team then you know he will give you the license to go forward and do your stuff.”
