Fred is hoping Paul Pogba can quickly return from his injury as he can prove to be a major boost for the team.
Manchester United midfielder has revealed that he gets along very well with teammate Paul Pogba and his helping him get back to his feet.
Paul Pogba is yet to step on the pitch ever since suffering an ankle injury during Manchester United’s 4-0 victory against Newcastle United on the Premier League boxing day. Having participated in just eight games, he has missed the majority of this year’s season with various fitness issues.
The Frenchman’s prolonged absence has been casting doubts on his future at Old Trafford.
But Fred says the team is trying to ‘bring Pogba closer’ to Manchester United. He also praised the 26-year old for his fighting spirit and talent.
“He’s a great person and a great player,” Fred said as Goal reports.
“On a daily basis we [are] together a lot. He’s a good guy and we try to bring him closer to United.
“Unfortunately, he was injured a lot this season, but he can still help a lot. May he recover quickly, because he is a world champion and being 100 percent will help us a lot. He’s a very hard-working guy, who struggles to get back soon.”
