Fred urges all the Manchester United players to work collectively instead of trying to resolve the issues on their own.
Manchester United once again missed the opportunity to close their gap from a top-four spot after their last Premier League outing against Wolves ended in a goalless draw.
After last week’s draw, Man United find themselves in the seventh position in the league table, six points adrift fourth-placed Chelsea. As a result, they are now in grave danger to miss out on the Champions League the next season.
And Fred believes his side have a lot to improve.
Speaking in an interview with Ale Oliveira, Fred insisted that Man United players lacked understanding with each other while highlighting some of the other issues that surround the Old Trafford.
“We are lacking a lot right now. First of all, we need to figure out things on the pitch, we are lacking creativity, especially in midfield,” Fred said.
“We also need to improve as a group. Our group lacks the ‘sticking together mentality’, we have lots of problems.
“We need to stick a goal inside our minds, focus on it and go forward. We need to be on the same page and today some players have different objectives. There are players that just want to solve problems alone and this is wrong.”
