Ajax star Frenkie de Jong wants a decision to be made on his future soon, amid ongoing speculation

The 21-year-old midfielder has captured the interest of Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City following his impressive displays at Amsterdam.

Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman even revealed that City coach Pep Guardiola is “totally wild about De Jong” after having a conversation over him.

But De Jong, who announced last week he will not leave Ajax this month, is tired of the constant uncertainty over his future and wants to make a final decision soon.

“I’m not going to make a hasty decision, but I’d like to be clear about it myself pretty quickly,” De Jong told Fox Sports.

“I do not know if I’ll make it known to the public.”

On being linked with a move to Barcelona, De Jong said: “When I was in Barcelona, people thought I would join them, but that’s not the case.

De Bruyne: We must be ready for Chelsea

Kevin De Bruyne believes Carabao Cup final success on Sunday will spur Manchester City on for the rest of the campaign but warned against...

“Everyone knows that I think Barcelona is a beautiful club, but I don’t know if I should see my career as a city trip.”

De Jong won the Eredivisie’s Player of the Month award for December.
