There are fresh concerns surrounding the rescheduled El Clasico, and the possibility of the Barcelona vs Real Madrid match being postponed again.
The biggest match in the Spanish football calender has been postponed once already this season
This came after security fears due to political turmoil between the Spanish government and the Catalonian independence protestors.
It now appears that there are fresh security concerns,
The rescheduled match is now under the threat of another postponement.
During last Saturday’s La Liga game there was apparently an unauthorized drone enter the Camp Nou.
This coincided with a post from Tsunami Democratic that said “we’ll see you on December 18”
According to Marca, the local police force ‘Jugones’ programme on La Sexta. The Mossos d’Esquadra have concerns about their ability to cope with the potential problem.
Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu, on the other hand, doesn’t see a problem.
“I’m not worried.”
“I think any peaceful act is compatible with a football match.”
The control inside the stadium is the responsibility of the club.”
“Fans are free to express what they want, there are no restrictions.”
“They can’t insult, but they can display any kind of symbolism as long as it is in a civic and peaceful way.”
“It shouldn’t be postponed, there’s no reason for that.”
Much like the last postponement, the Catalan government are saying nothing either way.
