Luis Suarez insists he is fully fit again and expects to help his Barcelona teammates to fight and win everything.
The Uruguay and Barcelona forward was set to miss the rest of the season with an injury had the pre-pandemic timetable continued as normal.
Now that the season has been delayed almost three months he has had time to get fit and recover.
Speaking to Spanish outlet Sport, he insists he is ready to help his team go out and finish the season strong by winning everything they can.
“I’m really happy.”
“At first I did some days with Juanjo the fitness coach and then bit by bit I got back into the group.”
“Now I have been working for a few days with the group.”
“In part, the coronavirus helped me gain time in my recovery, I will be able to play in games in which I wasn’t able to play.”
“I’m very happy about that but there’s the negative side too with the situation that many people are living in today.”
“The ambitions are the same, win all we can and I think that we’re in good shape to do that, I see the team doing well and it’s hopeful.”
Barcelona is said to be on the hunt for Suarez’s replacement. This may be his last chance to be a major player in their success before a new forward arrives.
