Gabriel Jesus has praised Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah while speaking about his competition with Sergio Aguero.
Manchester City were beaten by rivals Liverpool earlier this month. The 3-1 defeat further slowed down City’s run in the Premier League as they now see themselves six points off of the top spot. But Gabriel Jesus only has kind words for the the star player in the opposite color.
“Salah has showed his quality in the last two seasons, he has scored a lot. I don’t train with him, but I know he is quality.,” he told National Sport.
Gabriel Jesus also spoke about his team’s chances of winning the Premier League. The Brazillian then revealed about his relationship with Sergio Aguero.
“I think its still early for me to say anything about this [City’s title hopes being over]; the season has only just begun.
“Of course, [Liverpool] are playing well, we know this, but we haven’t played like we know we can. We can play like we did last season and win the title again.”
“Sergio is top scorer of the club so it is not easy for me,” Jesus added.
