Let’s talk about the very special relationship that Gerard Pique has with pretty much all Real Madrid supporters, the player they truly despise.
There are two types of Barcelona players that Real Madrid supporters really hate, the Leo Messi type and the Gerard Pique type.
On this profile, we are going to talk about the Catalan defender and everything he represents to all the Real Madrid supporters and even some of the players.
Pique has a long history of hate against Los Blancos, he was one of those Catalan footballers from FC Barcelona who grew up hating Real Madrid, he proves this on every chance he gets by dissing Los Blancos in public.
Just last week after FC Barcelona’s controversial Copa del Rey final victory against Los Blancos in basketball, the Barça defender explained why he thinks it’s ironic that Real Madrid complains about getting a bad call from the referee against them due to all the history they have in their favor.
This hate goes both ways, all the supporters from the Spanish giants are looking for countless ways to come after Gerard Pique and they usually tend to lose their battles because the player has been lucky most of the times he’s faced Los Blancos.
FC Barcelona is about to play two consecutive matches at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Gerard Pique as one of the main players coming to visit.

In order to understand the bad blood there is between Pique and all the Real Madrid supporters, we have to go all the way back to the 2008-09 season, a time when Pep Guardiola was about to complete the unthinkable and he ended up winning every single trophy the club played during the season.
Gerard Pique actually didn’t start the season on the starting XI, Mexican Rafael Marquez played the first half alongside Carles Puyol and only his unfortunate injury gave the young Catalan defender the chance he was looking for.
The big break came when FC Barcelona visited the Santiago Bernabeu, Gerard Pique was lucky enough to score the final goal in a historic 2-6 victory against Real Madrid and his celebration was a bit over the top for all the people who suffered that night.
This is how the bad blood between player and supporters started, a player whose name is Gerard Pique Bernabeu went on to become one of the most hated players who visited the mythical Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
But that first visit was only the beginning from a long line of very public confrontations, Gerard Pique has transformed into a ‘persona non-grata’ for all the Real Madrid camp that includes several players.
TITANES. CAMPEONES. LÍDERES.

During the celebrations of Barcelona’s second treble in history, Pique became even more hated by all Madridistas after publicly mocking Los Blancos for that infamous Cristiano Ronaldo birthday party in February 2015 right after losing the Madrid Derby against Atletico Madrid.
The player insinuated that the party in which musician Kevin Roldan performed was the reason Los Blancos didn’t win a single trophy that year, this might have been what really hit a nerve in all the fans.
Every single time Pique comes to the Bernabeu, he gets bullied with no mercy and both sides have developed quite the unhealthy relationship.
The last time Barcelona visited Real Madrid’s stadium, Pique played the whole 90 minutes on his side’s 0-3 victory that pretty much decided La Liga in their favor.
The next two matches will be played in Madrid, Pique already knows this and he posted a picture as a way to provoke all of Los Blancos’ fans who can easily get triggered by the player.
It was a picture that clearly makes a reference to all the criticism he’s been getting lately ahead of his visit to the Bernabeu, Gerard Pique is a master troll when it comes to infuriating Real Madrid and their supporters.
