Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Gerrard expresses just how highly he thinks of Klopp.
“We exchange messages quite a lot.”
“I have said it before and I will say it again, he has been fantastic for me, even going back to when I had the first chat with him at the Academy.”
“I asked him all these types of things and he has always been there to give me sound advice.”
“We were messaging each other just a few days ago.”
“I can’t thank him enough really.”
But Klopp is not the only one that Gerrard turns to, he has had an array of fantastic managers in his career.

He tries to recall their words of wisdom as he faces the challenges of his own managerial career.
“I have tapped into them all, Rafa (Benitez), Brendan (Rodgers), Gerard Houllier, Roy Hodgson, all of them.”
“Probably unknown to them but I have tried to tap into all of them and use it myself, and having that around what I do.”
“What Rafa would have said to us in that situation? What would Brendan (Rodgers) have said in and out of possession?”
“So you try and take things from them all.”
