Gervinho has opened up about his goal against Cagliari claiming he doesn’t know if it is his best career goal, but he is enjoying life at Parma.
The former Arsenal forward ran from just outside his own penalty area to shrug off three challenges and fire in off the upright in today’s 2-0 victory.
“I don’t know if it’s my best goal, as I’ve scored many in my time…” the ex-Arsenal and Roma man told Sky Sports Italia.
“What really matters is the victory, as this is very important and we must continue like this to achieve our objective.
“We are all a team and work together to keep Parma in the top flight.”
The Ivorian international received a standing ovation from the Stadio Tardini crowd as he was substituted late on.
“I am happy to be back in Italy and in Serie A again. The Parma fans gave me a wonderful welcome from the start.”
