The left-back considers that his team has to fight to keep their second position in the Italian Lega Serie A.
After Juventus was crowned champions in the Italian Lega Serie A, the focus shifts now to what teams will qualify for the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League, and for those at the bottom of the table who will be relegated along Chievo Verona.
And while Napoli will not win the league anymore, they still sit comfortably in second place, but the season is not over.
Or that’s what left-back Faouzi Ghoulam says.
“The season isn’t over yet, we have to play another six games and we want to end the season on a high note,” he was quoted by Football Italia.
“After the defeat to Arsenal we want to bounce back immediately and play well tonight, we will do everything we can to win.”
“The coach has changed. We have a new one now and it took a while to understand what he wants from us. We know [Carlo Ancelotti] is a top coach and we had some difficulty at the start of the season, but now we know what he wants,” he concluded.
Napoli lost 2-1 against Atalanta tonight, but they still have five matches left to play in the 2018-2019 season: against Frosinone, Cagliari, SPAL, Internazionale Milan, and Bologna.
