Chelsea assistant manager Gianfranco Zola says his side are doing “as much as we can do” to keep Callum Hudson-Odoi at the Bridge.

The youngster has been a subject of a move to Bayern Munich and after putting up a sterling performance for the blues against Sheffield United, Zola feels the player should stay.

“We want him to stay. We were singing it as well! We are playing him. We believe in what he can do to this team. Yesterday [after the transfer request], in training his attitude was excellent, he scored a fantastic goal.” Zola told Independent

Hasselbaink: Chelsea need Hazard to stay more than ever now

Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes it's critical now the club convince Eden Hazard to commit his long-term future.

“We believe in what he can do for this club. We don’t know many 18 year olds who are playing as much as him. It shows we believe in him.

“I am not the club, I work for the club. The decisions aren’t for me. I cannot say more than.”

Chelsea are competing in the Europa league.
