Manchester City have THREE players who could walk into any of the best English teams over the last three decades, says Ryan Giggs.

City record an incredible 32 victories in 38 games on route to their second consecutive Premier League title with a staggering 98 points. Neighbours Manchester United were the last time to win back-to-back titles in 2009.

But Giggs, who was a part of that Red Devils team, reckons that Vincent Kompany, David Silva and Sergio Aguero all stand out in Pep Guardiola’s star-studded squad.

The now-Wales manager thinks the City trio could literally walk into any of the great English teams from the past three decades.

“They’ve got probably, in my view, three players who would walk into any team in the Premier League era,” said Giggs on the Premier League.

“David Silva, Kompany, Aguero. There may be an argument for [Kevin] De Bruyne as well.”

Incredibly, City have won 64 of their 78 league games over the past two seasons with 198 points collected in total.

But 13-time Premier League winner Giggs doesn’t think Guardiola’s men are legends just yet.

“It’s a conversation, because of what they’re doing and the players that they’ve got, the age of the group,” said Giggs on City’s legacy.

“But [they’re] probably not quite there yet with regards to a couple of United teams because they went on to win the Champions League.

“So the 1998-99 team, obviously United in the 2007-08 team, because they went on to win the Champions League.

“So if they keep winning the Premier League, win a Champions League, then yes, they’ve got to be up there with the greatest of all time.”

On the back of their Premier League and Carabao Cup success, City can win the treble by beating Watford in Saturday’s FA Cup final at Wembley.
