Paris Saint-Germain loanee Giovani Lo Celso indicated that his future lies at Real Betis after a successful start at the club
Los Verdiblancos signed Lo Celso in the summer on a season-long loan deal from PSG, after new coach Thomas Tuchel deemed him surplus to requirements.
Lo Celso has since established himself at Betis by making 14 appearances in all competitions.
And, with the club retaining an option to sign him permanently for €25m, the Argentine midfielder’s future already seems decided.
“This is not the first time I have said this, but I am very happy and I am enjoying my football,” Lo Celso said on Marca.
“This is a good environment for me with the coach and my teammates, they have looked after me since my arrival and they support me, it makes me feel happy.
“I knew all about Betis before I arrived, I knew we would be a competitive team who would challenge and that I would have an important role in the team.
“Betis are the right club for me, I still have a lot to learn and I plan to do that here.”
Betis will face Greek side Olympiacos in a Group F Europa League game tonight at 18:55 (CET) at the Estadio Benito Villamarín.
