Find out how striker Gonzalo Higuain finally scored his first two Premier League goals for Chelsea against Huddersfield Town at Stamford Bridge.

After not having the most ideal debut for Chelsea FC this past week at Bournemouth, Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain finally had his chance to prove why Maurizio Sarri brought him from Italian football.

‘Pipita’ needed a more relaxed environment in order to get that confidence he required in order to start scoring goals for his new club, this version of the Blues was nothing like the one we saw at Vitality Stadium but they were playing against bottomers Huddersfield Town.

This match would be very easy for Gonzalo Higuain to finally get his dream debut at Stamford Bridge, Sarri also decided to place Eden Hazard back on his left-winger position and the modification also paid off in the final result.

The first half started with the Blues going all in for the first goal, it took the Blues over fifteen to find the right opportunity for Gonzalo Higuain’s killer instinct.

The Argentine had already tried to land a few shots on target with no luck, but Kante was able to find him to get that first goal on the 16th minute of the match with a potent right-footed shot with practically no angle to take it.

Eden Hazard scored the second goal just before half-time after the Blues got awarded a penalty, the Belgian winger was very active throughout the whole first half and manager Maurizio Sarri seemed satisfied with the overall performance thus far.

Ross Barkley’s inclusion in the starting eleven was also a great idea from the manager, the English player was a perfect link between N’Golo Kante’s defensive tasks and Gonzalo Higuain’s danger area.

This also gave Hazard more freedom to play on his preferred left flank without having to move to the middle because Ross had that space covered very well, the Belgian actually received a clinical assist from Barkley well into the second half and Eden moved past the goalkeeper with a beautiful dribble that gave him the space to score that third Chelsea goal.

With the Blues’ number ’10’ already having a brace, Gonzalo Higuain was eager to get another goal that could give him even more confidence in a game that was already decided for Maurizio Sarri’s squad.

This moment came only a few minutes after Hazard’s second goal, and it was something we weren’t ready for.

Zola defends Chelsea’s treatment of Callum Hudson-Odoi

Assistant coach Gianfranco Zola refuted suggestions that Callum Hudson-Odoi is not getting enough opportunities at Chelsea.

Turns out that Gonzalo Higuain found a perfect partner in N’Golo Kante, the French midfielder provided him with a second assist just outside the box that ‘Pipita’ turned into pure magic.

A long-range curler straight to the top corner left Higuain’s right foot, a perfect way for him to get his dream debut as a Chelsea player at Stamford Bridge.

Manager Maurizio Sarri has a very special understanding of this player, they proved it during the Napoli days and it appears they might do it again at Chelsea this season.

The final minutes were also good enough for one last goal for the Blues, Willian was slick enough to see David Luiz moving closer to him during a corner-kick and assisted his compatriot in order to get that final goal through a well-placed header.

With this 5-0 result, Chelsea can finally breathe a little bit and salvage their Top Four position regardless of how Arsenal does on Sunday vs Manchester City.

The heated discussion Maurizio Sarri had with the players after the Bournemouth defeat seems to have paid off, but the Blues still have to play against a more competitive squad and see if they really are back to form.
