Sadio Mané have send 300 football shirts to his hometown in Senegal, as he is set to become the first Senegalese player in history to conquer the Champions League trophy

Sadio Mané are born and raised in Bambali. A Senegalese village with a population of approximately 2.000 inhabitants. Saturday evening he could be the first player ever from Senegal to lift the Champions League trophy. Therefore Mané have bought a gift for his hometown.

“There are 2,000 in the village. I bought 300 Liverpool jerseys to send to the people in the village, so the fans can wear to watch the final. My mum and my uncle, they are all going to be watching. Nobody in the village will work this day. I will be going back in the summer after the World Cup and hopefully, I will be showing everyone a (winners’) medal,” Mané said according to 101 Great Goals.

The final will be played in Kiev with kick off at 19.45 CET.
