Paolo Maldini wants to bring his old boss Carlo Ancelotti back to the San Siro in an effort to lead AC Milan back to greatness.
Even though Stefano Pioli has only been in his new job as manager of AC Milan for a few weeks, Paolo Maldini is already in search of his replacement.
Maldini is monitoring Carlo Ancelotti’s situation at Napoli very carefully, with an eye on bringing the one-time Milan hero back to the San Siro.
Ancelotti led Maldini and company to win a Scudetto and two Champions Leagues between 2001 and 2009.
After very public fallouts with owner Aurelio De Laurentiis, and an underwhelming start to the season in Naples.
Ancelotti’s position at Napoli is under scrutiny.

Piloi has not really been that much of a surprise in his failure, in all honesty, nobody really expected much more than what he has done.

According to Calciomercato, Maldini has the solution and is just waiting for the right moment to pounce.
An appointment like Ancelotti would definitely appease the fans, but like so many fallen giants in today’s football, it will take more than just a historically successful manager.
