Wayne Rooney has landed in England to negotiate a deal to become a player-coach at Derby County.
Yesterday here at Ronaldo.com we brought you the story of Rooney instructing agent Paul Stretford to discuss the feasibility of the opportunity at Derby.
In a dramatic turn of events, according to Sky Sport, Rooney himself has been pictured at Heathrow airport.

Where it has been said he landed and has traveled to the Derby to discuss the terms of the agreement.
Rooney has only been stateside for one year. It has been a resounding success for the 33-year-old.
He has made no secret in recent interviews of his thoughts and intentions of going into management.
It is believed the deal with the Rams is considered perfect for him.
While he doesn’t want to hang up his playing boots just yet. He can continue to play and find his feet in the coaching world too.
It is understood that DC United will not stand in his way. They have already lined up his replacement.
The MLS rules allow for the team to have what they call “one designated player.”
It is believed that former LA Galaxy and Columbus Crew forward Ola Kamara was in the stands at the weekends game.
DC has apparently agreed a two million pound deal for the Norwegian with Chinese club Shenzhen.
All this talk of Rooney to Derby comes as quite a shock. Derby only recently appointed Phillip Cocu on a four-year deal as their new manager.
Cocu has remained silent about the rumours.
