Luis Suarez has convinced fellow Uruguay international Nicolas Lodeiro he will eventually swap Barcelona for the MLS.

Uruguay international Lodeiro plays for the Seattle Sounders and is preparing for the MLS finale against Toronto FC.

He is good friends with Barcelona forward Luis Suarez.

According to him, Suarez has a keen interest in the MLS. He believes it is only a matter of time before he swaps Catalonia for the USA.

Speaking to MLSsoccer.com, Lodeiro revealed the player is convinced about the idea of moving to the United States.

He said:

“I think you need to convince Barcelona.”

“He [Suarez] wants to come to MLS.”

“He is always asking me about the league.”

Revealed: Barcelona still reward their past players

It has been revealed that the FC Barcelona still pay the players who helped them achieve European glory as promised by past president.

While Suarez is living the dream right now, he is also preparing for an easier future.

Lodeiro added:

“His dream was to play for Barcelona. He’s playing at a great level and he feels comfortable there.”

“Sooner or later he’ll come to MLS.”

“He likes the league. He’s always asking me things about it.”

“Hopefully he can also play for Seattle Sounders.”

“I think it’s only a matter of time before he’s out here.”

There has already been plenty of speculation about Suarez’s future following a meeting with Inter Miami owner David Beckham.
