Watford boss Javi Gracia insists no New Year’s resolutions are required heading into the second part of the season
After 20 games, Watford are only 13 points off matching last season’s tally of 41 in the Premier League as they sit ninth in the standings.
Recent results have gone against them with a home defeat to Chelsea followed up with a disappointing draw against Newcastle.
But Gracia doubts that the Hornets need a New Year’s resolution.
“I don’t know if we need many new things,” said Gracia, according to Sky Sports.
“I think we have to keep doing the things we have done until now. I like to be demanding with ourselves because I think it’s the best way to improve.
“On the other hand, I like to give value to my players. In this moment they are doing many things well.”
Despite ongoing reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain for midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure, Gracia is adamant he will not leave this month.
“In this moment, Doucoure is my player and I think he will stay with me until the end of the season,” he added.
Watford will face Bournemouth away on Wednesday in their next league fixture.
