Griezmann to Manchester United a real possibility

Manchester United are readying an offer to Griezmann that will make him one of the most highest paid players in European football.

With Barcelona yet to take any action, Antoine Griezmann may end up being a Manchester United player. The gifted forward has been at Atletico Madrid for a almost five years.

However, the France international is set to leave Madrid this summer. Initially, Barcelona were linked with a move. Things have changed however, with the Catalans not being so active about their pursuit any longer.

Griezmann craves for a fresh change of scenery and might not be against the idea of playing at Old Trafford. According to the  , Manchester United are set to make the Frenchman their most expensive signing.

The Red Devils are looking to fork out around € 107 million to seal the deal. Moreover, pays on offer are mind-blowing as well. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are willing to pay Griezmann € 500,000 a week. This would make the former Real Sociedad man one of the highest paid athletes on the planet.

Indeed, the proposition is quite enticing. The lure of playing in the Premier League and at one of the most revered grounds in the world could be hard to resist.

Barcelona president says he hasn’t talked to Griezmann

Atletico CEO, Miguel Angel Gil Marin, said his former superstar was going to join the Blaugrana next season.

Paris Saint-Germain are also interested but Griezmann might go for the Red Devils despite the club not featuring in the Champions League next season.

However, this summer, the player is keen to leave Wanda Metropolitano.

“After speaking with Cholo (club coach Diego Simeone), then with Miguel Angel and the people in the hierarchy of the club I wanted to speak with you, the fans, who have always given me a lot of love,” said Griezmann.

”I wanted to tell you I have taken the decision to leave.

“The truth is it has been difficult to take this route but it is what I feel I need and I would like to thank all of you for the love you have shown me during these five years.”
