Pep Guardiola admits given his status at Manchester City and Barcelona there are two jobs in football he can never take.

Guardiola holds legendary status in Barcelona as both a player and a manager.

As a player But for a final few fleeting experiences in his twilight years, Guardiola was just about a one-club player.

He was Barcelona through and through, lifting 16 trophies over 17 years.

Then as a manager four years of exquisite Tikki Takka football that yielded two Champions Leagues.

Now at Manchester City, he is in his fourth season. The Spaniard has led them to two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and two League Cups.

These two clubs have some bitter rivalries, and none more than Real Madrid for Barca and Manchester United for City.

Guardiola is not your traditionalist and no footballing mercenary. He holds the fact he has a legendary status close to his heart.

For this very reason, he rules out certain jobs permanently.

In an interview reported by the BBC, Guardiola reveals two clubs he will always say no to.

“After training City, I won’t train United, just like I would never train Madrid.”
