Pep Guardiola wants three players at Manchester City but insists there is no rebuild needed.

Pep Guardiola is fully aware that he needs some investment in his Manchester City team.

City had a quiet summer and have struggled to keep pace with Liverpool while also falling behind Leicester City due to which talks of a rebuild have emerged.

But Guardiola is fully aware of what his side needs and insists on the number of players they are talking about is definitely not a rebuild.

In an interview reported by Goal, the Spanish tactician says there is not really much to be done.

He said:

“We don’t have to rebuild too much.”

“Three players is not rebuilding the team.”

“Rebuilding the team is seven or eight, which we did in the second season.”

“To buy two or three players is not a rebuild, it’s just substituting positions.”

David Silva is definitely leaving at the end of the season, injuries have shown their squad to be thin on the ground defensively and Leroy Sane is a target for Bayern Munich.

Guardiola recently ruled out a spending spree in January, and technically three is not a spree.

But the question on everyone’s lips now is, if Pep wants three, which three are they?
