Pep Guardiola wants Manchester City to concentrate on the upcoming Football League Cup final against Aston Villa.

Within a space of five minutes, Manchester City shocked Real Madrid to turn the tie in their favor during their visit to the Santiago Bernabeu last Wednesday.

Isco had given Zinedine Zidane’s men the lead at the hour mark but a goal from Gabriel Jesus and Kevin De Bruyne helped keep Man City’s hopes of winning the Champions League well alive.

After the heroic win, Guardiola’s side return to playing in the domestic competitions and have a cup final to look forward to.

A victory against Aston Villa at the weekend could see Man City make it a hat-trick of Carabao Cup wins. And Pep Guardiola is more than eager to add more stars to his managerial belt.

“I just know how difficult it is to reach the final. We’ve done really well to reach it, playing every three of four days. It’s a great achievement to get there but now we must try to win,” Guardiola said as per Daily Star.

“The result [against Real Madrid] has gone and now we focus on the final.

“For us, it’s better, much better to go to play a final after a good result in Madrid. But we can’t go into the final thinking about that.
