Arsenal midfielder Mattéo Guendouzi has revealed why he turned down other offers to sign for the club last summer.

Guendouzi joined the Gunners during the summer transfer window from French club FC Lorient for a fee in the region of £7m.

The teenager was one of Unai Emery’s first signings after he was appointed Arsenal manager at the end of last season.

Emery lost his first two games in charge of the North London Club, as they took on Man City and Chelsea, with Guendozi starting both games as another summer addition Lucas Torreira took time to adapt to life in England.
