A double from Erling Haaland sees Borussia Dortmund secured the second place in the Bundesliga as they beat nearest rivals RB Leipzig two-nil.

Despite already seeing Bayern Munich claim the Bundesliga title, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig were battling it out for the second place and automatic qualification to the 2020/21 Champions League.

It was Lucien Favre’s men that took a firm grip of the second place in the league as they ran out two goal winners against RB Leipzig.

Despite Timo Werner confirming he is leaving for Chelsea next season he still started for Julian Naggelsmann and Leipzig.

However, the undecided future of Jadon Sancho saw the teenage England international reduced to a place on the bench once more for Dortmund.

It was a fairly even affair, with the visitors slightly edging the possession, but the host having more attempts on goal.

However, in the 30th minute, Dortmunds Norwegian goal-scoring sensation gave his side the lead. Some neat build-up play and then a lightning-quick change of speed from the black and gold saw Leipzig chasing shadows.

It was not until the third minute of injury time that he got his brace and doubled Dortmund’s lead.

Haaland showing Julian Brandt where he wanted the ball and his teammate serving it up on a platter.

The win does not guarantee Dortmund second place, but certainly gives them a firm grip on it, being six points clear of their nearest rivals.
