Cristiano Ronaldo got into the Halloween spirit by showing up for training at Juventus this morning dressed like a joker.

While Juventus narrowly avoided a scare of their own on Wednesday, it didn’t stop Ronaldo from trying to spook his team-mates on Halloween of all days by dressing up as a joker.

The 34-year-old released a video on Twitter earlier today showing him walking around the club’s Turin base in his costume with a Michael Jackson song “Thriller” playing in the background.

During the video, Ronaldo walked into different rooms trying to find a sucker to frighten.

Although his Joker costume, which had another clown appearing to carry him, didn’t have much success. Miralem Pjanic, for one, gave his illustrious team-mate a high-five as he passed him in the corridor.

But Wojciech Szczesny did spare a moment to give the little guy carrying him a high-five in the changing rooms.

Juventus, meanwhile, are now preparing for Saturday’s Derby della Mole against Torino in the Serie A.

After drawing 1-1 at Lecce last weekend, Maurizio Sarri’s side nearly suffered another slip-up against Genoa.

Fortunately, though, Ronaldo came to the rescue by scoring a stoppage-time penalty to seal a 2-1 win after Christian Kouame cancelled out Leonardo Bonucci’s opener.

The victory enabled the reigning champions to retake top spot in the Serie A from rivals Inter Milan by one point. However, with such a slender lead, Sarri will need to find a way to get his squad back on form.

The Italian recalled everybody for training this morning and put those who didn’t play against Genoa through their paces with some technical exercises. He then capped things off with a practice match.

Pjanic, on the other hand, did a solo session after missing Wednesday’s match due to a muscle injury. However, it’s not a serious issue and he’ll probably return on Saturday – much to Sarri’s relief.

While Ronaldo and those who played against Genoa did some recovery work instead.
