According to Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min was an unlucky instigator of Andre Gomes’ horror injury in the Premier League last Sunday.

And after Andre Gomes went down on the ground, some shocking scenes ensued. One of those who took it the hardest was Son, blaming himself for the event.

However, Harry Kane revealed how he, as a current captain, stood behind his teammate.

“I gave him a little hug and told him it wasn’t his fault when I went into training on Monday,” as quoted by Metro.

“I know what type of guy he is and I know that it would have hurt him a lot. With the players, the manager and everyone consoling him, he’s started to feel a bit better.

“Of course, it’s a very unfortunate situation but he knows that he has to put it to the back of his mind and try and concentrate on the game.”

However, the good news is that Gomes went through a successful operation immediately after the match.

Everton’s midfielder is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
