Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl believes Nathan Redmond has what it takes to become a match-winner for the club on a regular basis.
Redmond scored a brace in Southampton’s 2-2 draw at Derby County in the FA Cup on Saturday.
The 22-year-old winger has found the net four times in his last five appearances for the Saints, and manager Hasenhuttl has urged him to produce those impressive performances on a consistent level especially in the absence of the injured Danny Ings.
“It’s important he shows he’s the guy who can decide the games for us,” Hasenhuttl told Sky Sports.
“I am happy with him, he works very hard at the moment, that’s why he earns more goals and more assists. He is coming back into good shape now and he’s an important player for us.
“The only thing missing in the last month was the final action. He has shown now he has quality in this part.”
