Ralph Hasenhuttl believes Southampton are mentally ready to face title contenders Liverpool on Friday Night.
The Saints are currently 8th on the form table with three wins in their last four games, leaving them five points clear of Cardiff City in the relegation zone.
In the bid to ensure their survival in the top-flight, Hasenhuttl is adamant his lads can push Klopp’s men all the way at the St Mary’s stadium despite losing just once to Man City.
“How they play is a perfect example of a physically strong team combined with the technical qualities, speed and good organisation, so you can think about why it is so hard to win against his team – only one team has done this and that is Manchester City,” Hasenhuttl said via Sky.
“This does not mean we are frightened, we are not afraid of walking out on the pitch.
The Saints have already masterminded the downfall of Spurs at home this season thanks to the home support.
“We know that we are playing at home, we know that we have the crowd behind us and they are pushing us, that’s for sure.

“Then you never know, there is a chance for us to turn the table and if we have this chance we have to be prepared for it and take something [from the game].”
The last time both teams met at Anfield, the Reds sealed a comfortable 3-0 win- victory will see Liverpool regain top spot in the League.
