Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz is a taller version of Mesut Ozil and would fit in perfectly at Liverpool, according to Don Hutchison.
Kai Havertz continues to be one of the most wanted youngsters in football following his fine displays for Bayer Leverkusen.
The 20-year-old has been in brilliant form since the Bundesliga resumed, scoring four goals in his last two outings.
Havertz has already attracted interest from the biggest European names. At one point or the other this season, the midfielder has been linked to Liverpool, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham.
The Reds are believed to be favorites for his signature and former Liverpool midfielder Don Hutchison has backed the German to start for any club.
He also dubbed Havertz as having a similar style and being the taller version of Arsenal and fellow compatriot Mesut Ozil.
“I think he’s far too good for Leverkusen. I think he goes to the very biggest clubs in Europe and I think he walks into most sides,” Hutchison told ESPN FC.
“He’s certainly got to fight for his place but the talent’s there at 20 years of age.”
“The one player I would liken him (Havertz) to is a taller, faster version of Mesut Ozil. I think he plays off the left-hand side, through the middle, he’s predominantly left-footed, he’s very silky, easy on the eye.”
“So again, yes Liverpool would be a great fit, but even Barca rate him that highly they are willing to trade three players for him.”
Havertz himself recently commented on speculation linking him with a big money exit and claimed he is only focused with Leverkusen at the moment.
