Zinedine Zidane says it was tough for Real Madrid to play without Eden Hazard but he is finally fit to return to the pitch.
Eden Hazard has been out of action ever since suffering an ankle injury during Real Madrid’s Champions League group stage match against Paris Saint-Germain back in November.
The Belgian completed a €100 million switch from Chelsea at the start of the season. But constant injuries have refrained Hazard from getting accustomed to his life at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Speaking ahead of the tie against Celta Vigo, Zinedine Zidane insists Hazard has completely recovered from his injury.
Zidane emphasized on Hazard’s role in his team and also stated that he was happy to see him finally be able to return to action.
“We all know how important Hazard is and that’s why we signed him. He’s a great player. We’re very happy he’s back with the group. We know how much he can help us,” Zidane said as per Sportsmax.
“It was tough not having him for almost three months due to injury. He’s also very happy to be back.
“It’s true we have to take it easy, we should give him time. And that’s what we did to make sure he’s 100 percent fit when he is back. He is ready to play tomorrow.”
