Dean Henderson has hinted that he wants to nail down his position as the Manchester United first-choice goalkeeper for years to come.

Sheffield United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has been performing beyond expectations in the Premier League this season.

Dean Henderson joined the Manchester United academy in 2015. After rising through the ranks, the goalkeeper spent a couple of loan spells before finally joining Sheffield United in 2018.

In his first season, Henderson won the Championship Golden Glove while helping the club get a promotion to the Premier League. This season too, the 22-year old has continued his great run of form as he has the joint-most clean sheets in the league.

Speaking on Kelly & Wrighty Show, Henderson insisted that it is his dream to return to Manchester United. As per Goal, he said:

“The big dream is to play for Manchester United one day.

“I’ve always had that dream throughout my life. So, until that’s accomplished I’ll never think I’ve made it.

“Even if I play for them once I won’t think I’ve made it. I need to play for them 500 times, 300 times, whatever it is. Then, you can turnaround at the end of your career and say, ‘I made it, I did what I set out to do’.”
