Dean Henderson is determined to improve and keep himself focused as he chases the dream of becoming the first-choice goalkeeper for Manchester United and England.

Putting on several top-notch displays with Sheffield United, Dean Henderson has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League this season.

Henderson joined the Manchester United academy at the age of 14 back in 2011. After spending time across England on various loan spells, he joined Sheffield in 2018.

He is expected to give first-choice Man United goalkeeper David De Gea a run for his money when he returns to Old Trafford the next season.

The 23-year old’s meteoric rise also helped him get a national call-up. And he expects to keep his momentum going and make the position his own in the coming years.

Henderson told the Yorkshire Post: “That’s what you work for, isn’t it?

“I remember being at the airport with my missus in Villa Moana. It was the first time in years I’ve shed a little tear. I’ve been there before with the [Under] 21s when it looked impossible [to become the first choice].

“I’ve just got to keep my foot on the accelerator and keep working hard and see where it takes me.”
