According to Tony Cascarino Manchester United should recall Dean Henderson from his loan to replace David De Gea.

David De Gea has had a poor season by his own high standards. The Spaniard has endured a torrid time this season, making a number of high profile mistakes.

For a long time, he has been considered one of the best keepers in the world. He held the number one jersey for the Spanish national team too.

Even that has now come under threat from Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga.

United has an abundance of top experienced keepers behind De Gea.

His immediate back up in Argentine international keeper Sergio Romero. Many have called for Romero to be promoted and give De Gea a reality check.

Then there is Dean Henderson, who has earned an England call up while on loan from Manchester United to Sheffield United.

This is the man for the job according to the Republic of Ireland international and Chelsea player Tony Cascarino.

Speaking to Talk Sport, Cascarino thinks United should take some drastic action on the goalkeeping front. He thinks they have the answer to a major problem in their rank already.

He said:

“I’m looking at De Gea and thinking, I’d have Dean Henderson at Sheffield United over you,” he said on Saturday’s Weekend Sports Breakfast.

“He’s had a stinker.

“Henderson is a Manchester United player and his performances have been far better than De Gea’s this season.”

It appears some United fans would like him back too.
