Following France’s 4-2 win over Argentina in their last-16 clash, Lucas Hernandez claimed they should not worry about Hazard as they already eliminated Messi.

Deschamps’ team then went on to beat Uruguay 2-0 on Friday and will be facing Belgium in the semi-final, as they, on the other side, eliminated Brazil 2-1.

Despite claiming Hazard and Lukaku are dangerous, Hernandez voiced his opinion that they are not as much of a threat as Messi, who Les Bleus already dealt with.

“We have already eliminated the best player in the world [Messi] against Argentina,” Hernandez said, according to Sportskeeda.

“He didn’t touch the ball. That’s the truth.”

“Against Belgium we also have the players to make sure Hazard touches the ball as little as possible.”

Pavard, Varane and Umtiti will most likely be in support of Hernandez, even though there are fitness concerns over Umtiti.

Varane, on the other side, backed his teammate’s claim, adding that everything is up for the taking, as long as the whole team puts the effort in.
