Javier Hernandez reveals why David Moyes failed at Manchester United in what was already an impossible task.
It’s not rocket science suggesting that replacing a legend and a manager as successful as Sir Alex Ferguson would be a difficult task.
The “Little Pea” as his nickname translates is adamant that there is nobody even out of today’s best football managers capable of taking over from Sir Alex.
He is quick to point out talking to Rio Ferdinand, that Moyes did not have the right attitude to succeed and he was a mistake the club is still paying for.
“To be honest, I’m always going to be a Red.”
“We didn’t ever have anything personal, Moyes and myself.”
“But it was a mistake that they took him. It was a mistake.”
“It was the first mistake but it’s still haunting them now.”
“Not because of him, he was not a bad manager, but they thought they were going to take the replacement of the boss, of Sir Alex, so quick. It’s impossible.”
“Not even now, even with Guardiola, Mourinho and Klopp, they are not on the same level as the boss even now.”
“They brought in David Moyes and I’m not going to question whether he was a good coach, a bad coach but I don’t understand how it is possible.”
“What’s the word, not humble to be at least half of what you are succeeding. He was the greatest of all time.”
Perhaps the greatest reason for Hernandez’s success wherever he goes, be it United, Real Madrid, and even now LA Galaxy is the fact he plays for the shirt and the fans love him for it.
