Stefano Pioli says Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not a decorative player but was brought to help AC Milan improve.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has quickly settled in his new team and has hit the ground running at AC Milan.
In an attempt to bring their misfortunes to an end, AC Milan recently signed the Swedish striker on a six month deal for free. And Zlatan Ibrahimovic seems to be doing just what his club asked for.
The 38-year old scored his first goal in his new colors in his first start for the team. Milan are also now unbeaten in their last three matches.
As a result, Milan boss Stefano Piolo has spoken highly of his new striker. Ahead of the tie against Udinese, Piolo said that Ibrahimovic’s arrival has raised the morale of the team.
“Zlatan is proving that he is not just a decoration or a statue, but a great player, performing on the field,” he said as per Goal.
“His arrival was a godsend for what he shows on the pitch and in training.
“He gives his best like a young player, he is a player who doesn’t want to lose even one match. That’s how he raises the level in a team, he was also signed for this.”
