Heung-min Son promises better days to Tottenham fans

Following a bitter conclusion to their campaign, Tottenham star, Heung-min Son has promised the club’s fans a great 2019/20 season.

Tottenham and Heung-min Son were left feeling devastated following the Champions League final defeat at the hands of Liverpool. Mauricio Pochettino’s men finished fourth in the league standings after initially mounting a title assault.

The club did not sign a single player last summer and the manager had to rely on a small group of players to get the job done. And Heung-min Son has promised fans that the club is going to do better than last season.

The South Korean was an important presence for the Londoners in all competitions throughout the season. And the talented forward is now looking forward to next season where he expects his side to do better.

Ending a silverware drought would definitely be something that the club would be targeting.

Heung-min Son, while speaking to the club’s website, said that coming so close to winning something is a boost in itself.

Paul Pogba, Manchester United, Premier League

Moyes believes Pogba is still “the best midfielder”

Paul Pogba has been suffering at Manchester United lately, but according to former Red Devils coach David Moyes, the Frenchman is still one of the best.

“It was a crazy season, some incredible moments, of course some disappointments as well,” said the 26-year-old.

“It was a tough schedule and we had some great results. We finished top four again and reached the Champions League Final. Obviously, we were disappointed to lose the final, but we can be very proud.

“The players learned so much from last season and we will want more next season – and I believe we have a good chance to do something. I’m looking forward to coming back stronger.”

Regardless of how things ended, Spurs’ 2019/20 campaign in England and in Europe should be considered a success. While the other top 6 teams were in a position to replenish their squads last summer, Spurs could only watch wistfully.

This summer though, things are different. The North London side is looking to invest in the squad. This would definitely be a big help for Heung-Min Son and co.
